Wives and Others

Just finished reading "Wives and Others" a collection of short stories by Manik Bandopadhyay a pioneer of Bengali literature.

Most of his stories are absolutely brilliant in its scope and context though there is an element of morbidity in some of his tales, with frequent allusions to death and destruction.

Sad that like Nabakov he had such a short life. Goodreads 5/5
